aMHERST WOMAN'S CLUB |
Our community is filled with wonderfully diverse women. The Amherst Woman’s Club (AWC) is bringing those women together to meet and connect with each other.
The Amherst Woman's Club was organized in 1893 and incorporated in 1903 to foster the interests of its members in literary, scientific, musical, historical, and other topics of vital importance; to promote culture and cordial personal relations among women; and to contribute to the welfare of the community. After 128 years of service to the Amherst community, these values continue to be the foundation of our organization. We invite women from our local community to come together to meet and connect with each other and to discover the simple pleasure of connecting with your neighbors, being inspired by a local speaker and enjoying each other’s company to help forge new friendships and a sense of belonging among our spectacular community of women. Membership is open to all women of Amherst and surrounding communities.
The Amherst Woman’s Club is located in the beautiful Hills Memorial Club House in the Emily Dickinson Historic District, just a few steps from Amherst town center. We are listed on the National Register of Historic Sites.
