Kitty Burns Florey is an Amherst resident, and the author of a two part series of books titled, Writing Master and Amity Street. She will share her process in creating these historical fiction novels. Both books follow the lives of intriguing characters set in the 1850s in New Haven in Writing Master and 1896 in Amity Street, and are available both at the Jones Library and Amazon. You might want to read the books before her talk.  You will love tracing your way around the Amherst of today and envisioning where the characters were in 1896.  These books are hard to put down!
