Lock Me in Delight: English and American Song

Graham Christian (piano) and Libby Maxey (soprano) have been performing "Songs and Serenades" concerts in the Amherst area since 2014. In the tradition of the salon, they bring art songs and the occasional aria to intimate spaces, sharing well-loved as well as little-known pieces. They are delighted to return to the Amherst Women's Club with a ten-year anniversary program that includes selections from Copland's Twelve Poems of Emily Dickinson, Barber's Hermit Songs, Argento's Six Elizabethan Songs, and more.

All proceeds of the event will be used to grant scholarships to high school seniors and grants to local community service agencies such as the Boys and Girls Club, the Amherst Senior Center, Safe Passage and the Amherst Survival Center.
